Frequently Asked Questions

Answer: Students who attend one of Help Group’s schools either pay privately or receive approval from their school district for non-public school placement. Through the IEP process (Individualized Education Plan), the school district makes a determination that a non-public school is the most appropriate setting for your child. Once the district has approved placement, then the student is eligible to be considered for enrollment. For further information, contact the Admissions Office at 818-779-5262.

Prior to visiting one of our schools, we encourage families to submit an inquiry form to ensure a good fit. Please submit the inquiry here, and someone from our admissions team will be in touch with you to suggest next steps.

After consulting with our Admissions Office following an inquiry and/or phone call, we will provide you with a provisional school fit. The provisional fit may then become an official acceptance offer pending an application review and intake.

Door-to-door transportation is generally available for funded students. If transportation is indicated on your student’s IEP, it will be provided by the school district or Help Group. Help Group utilizes a mix of student transportation carriers: two bus companies and several cab companies. All bus and cab drivers have received training from their respective companies in transporting students with special needs. In addition to that training, the drivers have received general information from our Clinical Directors about the student population and suggestions as to how to interact with the students in their vehicle. All drivers have Department of Justice and FBI clearance. You can also choose to transport your student and receive reimbursement, paid monthly.
