Young Learners*
*Early intervention for children with autism
Young Learners Preschool is an early intervention program designed for children ages 3 to 5 with autism spectrum disorder. Our evidence-based approach combines intensive instruction, play-based learning, and family partnership to build a strong foundation for growth. Every day is an opportunity for discovery, connection, and progress toward kindergarten readiness.
Overview
Young Learners Preschool is where early intervention meets innovation. Our program offers structured, developmentally based teaching with naturalistic play and learning to help children develop communication, academic, social, adaptive, and emotional regulation skills. Families work alongside a multidisciplinary team to reinforce generalization of skills to all environments. Every classroom is a dynamic setting where progress is celebrated, and limitless potential is unlocked. At Young Learners, we believe that early support creates lifelong possibilities.
Academics & Curriculum
Learning at Young Learners happens through structured lessons, play, and everyday routines. Our curriculum draws from both the California Preschool Learning Foundations and evidence-based teaching strategies for young autistic children. Young Learners integrates Applied Behavior Analysis strategies like Pivotal Response Training and Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Instruction. A whole language approach is taken to help all students learn to communicate in their preferred manner. Social, adaptive, and emotional regulation skills are woven into every activity, from circle time to outdoor play. Technology tools and educational software add interactive, motivating ways to learn. The result: a personalized path to kindergarten readiness that feels engaging and joyful.
