Overview

Bridgeport Vocational Center is a stepping stone into adulthood. Our program focuses on practical skills that matter most: employment readiness, independent living, and self-advocacy. Students gain experience through internships, on-campus businesses, and community partnerships, supported by credentialed job coaches and a dedicated career counselor. Every day is an opportunity to apply classroom learning in real-world settings, from managing retail to navigating public transportation. By graduation, students leave with confidence, a professional portfolio, and a clear path forward.

Academics & Curriculum

Our curriculum is built around national transition standards and tailored to each student’s goals. Career Development courses teach resume writing, interviewing, and job search strategies, while Independent Living classes cover budgeting, home skills, and community navigation. Adult Living instruction prepares students for personal responsibilities, health, and safe social media use. Weekly community-based instruction and vocational training reinforce these lessons in authentic environments. The result: graduates who are ready for work, college, and life.
