Summit View School is a college-preparatory school dedicated to educating young people with learning differences who possess a wide range of intellectual capabilities, from students with Specific Learning Disabilities and ADHD, to socially high functioning students on the spectrum. Recognizing the unique strengths, aptitudes, and natural gifts of each student, Summit View fosters academic growth through a comprehensive diploma track curriculum that targets creativity and accomplishment with an eye towards furthering their education at the post-secondary level and achieving long term career goals.

Summit View Valley Helps

Offers opportunities for students to participate in sports, robotics, community service, Workability programs, student council, Winter and Spring Formals, and clubs.

WASC Accredited Diploma Track school that offers a wide range of academic opportunities through a UC A-G curriculum and an enriched STEM3 program.

Overview

Summit View Valley is built for learners who think outside the box. Our classrooms combine research-based instruction with multisensory strategies to make learning engaging and effective. From elementary interventions to high school college-prep courses, every student receives personalized support to strengthen core skills and confidence. Technology integration and hands-on projects bring lessons to life, while electives in art and music foster creativity and self-expression. At Summit View Valley, we prepare students for academic success and empower them to advocate for themselves in every setting.

Academics & Curriculum

Our curriculum spans elementary through high school, with specialized reading and math interventions in all grades alongside rigorous, standards-based coursework. Executive Functioning skills are taught in all classes. Courses offered span remedial support labs through AP coursework based on a student’s individual needs in each subject area. Instruction is interactive and multisensory, using programs like Wilson Reading System and Read Naturally to build fluency and comprehension. Students engage in learning through real world, tactile and kinesthetic methods as well as utilizing technology to accommodate and support their learning. Student learning is further enhanced with community opportunities such as field trips, service learning, and outdoor education. Everyone graduates with the skills and confidence to succeed in college or career pathways.
