Help Group is excited to introduce Project Possibility, its new Junior Board that brings together emerging professionals from across Los Angeles who are passionate about giving back and advancing our mission.
Founded by former Help Group team member and CEO of Foster Nation, Alec Marcellin, Project Possibility was created to expand community awareness, strengthen partnerships, and inspire a new generation of advocates, volunteers, and philanthropists.
“I realized that the organization’s incredible impact often outpaces its community’s reach and brand awareness,” Marcellin shared. “I wanted to give back to an organization I love and respect by bringing my fundraising and event expertise back to Help Group from an external perspective.”
The timing couldn’t be better.
As Help Group continues to grow with a refreshed brand, expanded programs, and expanded community events, Project Possibility will help introduce more people to the organization’s work while building meaningful opportunities to engage with our mission.
The Board brings together students and professionals from a wide range of industries and experiences. Members work in research, law, finance, technology, business, and the nonprofit sector. Together, they offer diverse perspectives and a shared commitment to making a difference for children, individuals, and families.

The group’s work is already underway. Over the coming year, members will collaborate with Help Group leadership to strengthen community partnerships, increase volunteer engagement, support fundraising initiatives, and expand awareness throughout Los Angeles. The Board also plans to develop its own signature community event in spring 2027.
“We exist to ensure that fundraising, volunteerism, and community engagement meet the current moment,” Marcellin said. “Our goal is to help more people understand who Help Group is, the people we serve, and the impact we make every day.”
For members, this is also an opportunity to develop leadership skills while contributing directly to Help Group’s mission. Participants gain hands on experience in fundraising, event planning, marketing, and nonprofit leadership while connecting with other young professionals who share a passion for service.
