Help Group Hosts 13th Annual Special Needs Resource Fair

Help Group proudly hosted its 13th Annual Special Needs Resource Fair on our Sherman Oaks campus, welcoming over 700 attendees and more than 70 organizations for a day dedicated to connection, resources, and community. For the first time, the event was held entirely outdoors, creating a vibrant and welcoming space for families to explore a wide range of services and supports for individuals with special needs.

The day featured a special Music for Autism concert performed by Spotlight Artist of the Year Kerry Fenster and Kassandra Castro, along with a variety of engaging activities for children and families. Guests enjoyed arts and crafts led by our partners from CSUN’s CADA group, as well as bounce houses, inflatables, and face painting. Attendees were also treated to complimentary food, including tacos, hot dogs, churros, ice cream, and pizza.

“We were thrilled to see so many families come out and take advantage of the resources available to them,” said Dr. Susan Berman, President & CEO of The Help Group. “It was a great day for families to connect, learn, and find the support their children need.”

Councilmember Adrin Nazarian presented Dr. Berman with a certificate of recognition in celebration of Help Group’s impact.

We were especially honored to welcome Councilmember Adrin Nazarian, a longtime friend and champion of Help Group dating back to his days as an Assemblymember. His continued support helps elevate awareness of the needs of the families we serve and reinforces the importance of our work within the broader community. During the event, he presented Dr. Berman with a certificate of recognition in celebration of Help Group’s impact.

“We are incredibly grateful to Councilmember Nazarian for taking the time to join us and for his ongoing support of our mission,” added Dr. Berman.

We are also deeply thankful to our dedicated volunteers, whose time, energy, and enthusiasm helped create a welcoming and memorable experience for all who attended. The Resource Fair continues to serve as a meaningful opportunity to bring families, providers, and the community together in support of those we serve.
