Help Group is grateful for the support of foundation and community partners whose recent grants and contributions help create meaningful opportunities for children, teens, and young adults with neurodevelopmental and mental health needs, their families, and the broader community.
The JD Finish Line Foundation awarded grant support to Silverlining, Help Group’s social enterprise and workforce development program, which provides teens and young adults with opportunities to build practical workplace skills, gain hands-on experience, and develop confidence and greater independence as they prepare for future employment.
Through its Creative Impact Arts Grant (CIAG) program, the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture awarded Help Group funding in support of arts programming and activities connected with our May 2027 Art Fest. This free community arts event brings together the youth we serve, artists, arts and community organizations, families, and the broader community through exhibitions, interactive experiences, and other arts programming that celebrates the creativity and artistic expression of neurodivergent youth.
Whole Foods Market Foundation awarded grant support to Help Group’s Kids Like Me to provide nutritious, healthy food options for children and teens participating in its after-school, school-break, and summer camp programs. The support helps ensure that healthy options are available while accommodating the specialized dietary needs of the neurodivergent youth and young adults in these programs.
First 5 California awarded grant support for Help Group’s 30th Annual Summit, helping underwrite the audiovisual services that enable us to deliver Help Group’s flagship educational conference to more families, educators, and professionals.
Robert and Pam Thacker made a generous $20,000 gift to Help Group in support of our work with children, young adults, and families. Their contribution provides valuable fuding across Help Group’s educational, therapeutic, behavioral health, residential, and vocational programs, as well as the special opportunities and experiences that help those we serve build confidence, independence, and fuller, more meaningful lives. We are especially grateful to longtime Help Group friend and advocate Bob Dorman for introducing Robert and Pam to our organization.
